knife improve

i was thinking f replacing the knife with a samurai sword that does alot of damage like 2-300 it would be awsome people would be hunting with swords to it would be more fun and when the zombies are hit by samurai sword they get a bit knock back so they dont infect just a great idea

hope people agree this would be freaking awesome

Sorry but that would be a complete fail.
Why bother making a new knife, when everyone uses guns anyway?
We use knives only as our last recource when our ammo is depleted, and we dont make it with the stabbing anyway since 1 zombie slash = infection.

If all humans started "hunting with knives" it would be a zombie paradise in no time.

And the idea of knocking back?
Zombies barely can get close to someone when they shoot even with the weakest guns, and now you want to make it even harder by adding knockback to the knives? GG fail

Even if the knockback is tiny it still means zombies cant get near.

And btw a major flaw in your "plan".
Why the eff would i go huntin with a knife and risk getting infected if i can camp with my autosniper/machinegun and get 10x the damage ?

I actually enjoy stabbing zombies :p especially the Nemesis Hehe.. but still this idea fails.

Every single people uses their weapons to hunt the zombies, why would I risk to be infected for slash the zombies?

im gonna have to say no this idea koed because i dont think that we should replace the knife with a sword like wasyl said.

i think somthing simular to the fun server would be good , where you can select between say 4 knifes , 1 will make you jump a little higher , 1 make you run a little bit faster etc etc , think that would work ok on ZP

I Have to admit that the point of idea to upgreade the knife is very good. Without that knockback stuff. It would be work like a basic knife LMB and RMB with a model of katana --===BUUUT===-- damage with weak attack 50-100 and RMB 250 with hs.

I do play a lot and i think it's worth to examine for real.

When you're sorrounded by 5 zombies I doubt you'd even have time to take out your knife, much less stab with it and aim for the head

Well, if you play with your knife it would pretty much only be vs a nemesis for "fun" or whatsoever, so in my call i would say keeping the regular knife and the players can add different versions of the skin as they suit, but adding additional powers to the regular knife is not good due to the fact that people wont use the knife so its a waste of Space on the servers to add more functions to a already useless item.

U pick one really extreme situation as an example my friend. My point of view is less extreme. So - i am alone in the end of cave on fw1 (overplayed) and 5 zombies want's to suck my brain out, even with a kill bomb and mega reflex i have just a small chances to do anything.

Imagine now how often u use i knife at the end of a base tunnel when ak and duals doesnt kill a zobie. INFEEEECT - oh man he have 120 hp left ...

As a koed dude (hate u ^^) wrote about a hunting on zombies. YES !!! At the swarm mode when humans killed most of the zombies they will hunt the rest. I am sure there will be a lot of players that want to kill a zombie with a blade.

I think that idea of knife upgreade will be warmly welcomed by a high skilled players to exam.

Btw. i am really sure there is no problem to aim in the head.

Why waste even more space on a useless knife "improvement" cause if you want the servers to maybe cause slightly more lag and decreased effeciency on the servers due to a knife model with some dmg i say no anyways, i know if i get infected by a zombie with 100+ hp then i can flame at myself for not hitting the head with my weapon in the end but if i tried everything as using my m4a1 and deagle then there is nothing i can do, and if you miss the headshot with knife its just going to be a zombie with 50+ hp. so how much would that even do besides loosing a bit of hp on the zombie you still get infected.

a little knife improvement wont make the whole server lagg lol its not like its the biggest change on the whole neondragon server so dont push it over the edge.

koed, all those opinions show a point wich is your idea is a fail.

Even tough in some situations the katana would help that's not enough when you look at the big picture.

Instead of being here banging you head against the wall just drop the issue.

This "Improvement" is a special treatment for humans for what I see.
Personally I would be pissed as a zombie - struggling through a rain of bullets from his machinegun, then his deagle, I hear *click click* - Finnaly he ran out of bullets, phew , just in time, I had only 150 hp left... I come near... and WTF!? He killed me with a knife? D:

Seriously... don't you see the fail of this idea? It's not a server where humans are supposed to pwn zombies, but it's a game where zombies and humans fight each other as even.
This knife would give humans ANOTHER advantage, and zombies would have even less chance of winning.

But i still take a position by a koed idea wich is very attractive in my opinion.

Xelef - i have seen nem killed by a knife. The player nick was - La Venerable De La Grande, a long time ago ... very oldschool player.
