Server problems.

Well I tried to start a new server using hlds, installation and update went fine,
But now when hibari and chillz are trying to join it says "Server not responding"
I've opend ports on router, and there was another player (random) from sweden who were able to connect
So I told hibari to try join agaiin. Same problem "Server not responding" , anyone knows what the problem is?

And leave smartass/useless comments like-

Your a noob thats why it doesnt work.

Well they could connect via console type "connect server IP"

Or your server is failing somehow

We tried it didnt work, the server doesnt fail o.O There was another player on it o.o

I had that also if you have a steam tools dedicated server tho they can connect with console

did you mean can't? Because I said we tried it, they couldnt join o.o

The problem is actually a wrong IP adress. If you start a server it displays the IP of your computer. But that was most likely a LAN IP. So people in your LAN Network could have connected. But your IP in the internet is another one. If i have to look it up, i use internet services such as e.g. http://whatismyip.com/. If you give them this IP they should usually be able to connect to your server.

Yes I tried that yester day and it worked. Although there was 2 guys that was able to join
without me sending ip (Random guys).

But I can't find the server in the 'browse servers' , Do I need some plug-in or something like that for it to show or..?

I actually have the same problem, I gave Pukata the right IP (also gave some others, they were able to join), but he wasn't able to join somehow... oO

Okay, I know how to help.
Close CS if u have it open then....
Right Click, Goto Community, Click Games, View Library, Right Click Counter-Strike, Set Launch Options then type -console -exec config.cfg then it will work.
