The best processor for a PC that don't cost ££££

What are some? I did some research but most people I found were super rich saying they don't really want to spend 1000 dollars on a processor, well I'm not. Anybody got a good value for money solution to a powerful CPU? All knowledge appreciated. If you need a budget from me then how about £100? I would prefer to spend around £50 but lets see what you guys know The reason I ask this question is because after successfully building my computer at the moment from all the used parts I could get I want to make a gaming rig now!

Well, it all depends what do you expect from your PC and what games do you want to play and what detail settings.

I mean, if you just wanna games to be playables, you don't really need a superCPU to do it. For example, i have Phenom II 545 (about 75/80€ when i bought it) and i can play and enjoy games like Crysis @ 1280x960 / medium-high settings. If you want to play with extra-high settings and 1600x1200, obviously you will need better CPU.

But CPU isn't all, because, as you sure know, vga card is basic. Anyways it's the same as what i said about CPU. I have an ATi HD4670 1GB (70€), but, if you can, i'd buy GTS250. It's a very good card and cheap (here it's around 105€, very good price).
