Well its sad but true..
I'm just being realistic instead of having an optimistic view of society which would be completely off.

Money equals power. Not that I want to rule the world or anything, but its an important feature in life that effects your life alot more than you'd think.
Having power means being able to get things done a big load faster than if you don't have that power.

Capitalism is bad, but you can't deny the existance.

I don't need people respecting me only because of my status, I only need people respecting me for the work I do and for the person that I am, not because I managed to get a 'status'. You will only get fake respect anyway.

Florent, you got it a bit wrong. Alot of people doesnt just work for the money! They think it is fun and keep on doing the thing they are good at. All say that i want to win 10 million dollars. If they want money it is because they think everything in their world will become better and such..... I want to become rich, but at the same time im going to have friends! Im going to be rich someday with my friends. Everyone in this world want to get money!

hmm i'm pretty sure that if you go to a very good school which costs alot of $ you will learn either more or easier then if you go to some crappy school o.o

you cant buy intelligence, you can be in a better school but if you have no memory, if cant link ideas, if you cant think logicly, money wont help you

This topic was not about : Money can or cannot buy the key skills etc in life.
This topic is about wether money is important at all, and yes, it is.
It improves life in so many ways, that is cannot be ignored.

Without reading all the replies in this topic, I'll say only this:

Money doesn't make a person 100% happy, but it sure helps.
