It is pretty simple (3 renders, 2 texts and 1 c4d or whatever it is). nothing special

You should find some tutorials and follow them at the beggining

i use Adobe Photoshop , you could try GIMP

GIMP is shit/stupid/terrible. xP
but for cutting is GIMP good. xD

i use macromedia fireworks 8 its good for animating and website desiging

Personally i like GIMP and at least it is for free^^ You just have to know the software and then you also can create awesome images with it.
Well, i am not very good with it, but following some tutorials i recently also made some nice pictures
