9/11 was an event that had an enormous impact on the whole world and you can't deny that. 99% of the world population still remembers what he/she was doing when the news got in. There is nothing wrong with standing still at that fact for a moment, especially not after a 'milestone' like 10 years.

And FYI, I never said anything about the war in Iraq (for totally BS reasons), the drug wars in South America and all the other things that cost many lives, so don't even drag that stuff in here! Ofcourse every human life is one too many (except in some cases) and you will never hear me say otherwise.

Yeah, 4000 people die every hour in the world from starvation -- 700 children. Every. Hour. This is something we could fix if we all tried hard enough, but most people in the developed world are happy to forget about it happening and continue living the good life -- it's somebody elses prolem, it's not really happening, the people starving must deserve it somehow for not fixing their situation themselves, whatever the excuse may be...

So 2000 people died at one preventable point in America and it's a big deal? It would be better if it had not happened, but those people aren't more valuable than all the other people in the world who die and barely anyone tries to do anything about. It's really insignificant. Get over it already.
