The beauty of a Thunderstorm

Its a timelapse Ive made yesterday. I had a excellent view on this on my holiday in Switzerland a week ago. What you actually see here is the strong updraft in a thunderstorm that makes the cloud going up to 10km and higher. When it reaches 10km it flattens out in that area. Combined with the sunset the picture is complete. The same updraft generates the energy for lightning. When the sun is not so shiny anymore the lightning came visible. Overall this is my best timelapse Ive made (till now). Its combined from 800 pictures and 40 minutes of film. Total timedisplay is 2.15 hrs. Enjoy!
