HLSS voicequality?

hey i just downloaded and installed hlss and the 2 other programms for converting. when i play the sounds with winamp they sound well. but when i go ingame and want to play them its just shhshs noise. u cant understand a shit.

hope anyone can help me to fix this.

U have to go to the programme thats called goldwave or someshit, so not the dmpower thingie but the other one with the yellow logo.

Then put your music file in and to go the edit(or something else)->equalizer then you will see that the green bars are way up to high. What u gotta do is to take the slider a bit to the orangy side and press ok.

This reduces the bass of the music file. Now convert it in the other programme and its done.

I can't really explain this well because I dont have the programme anymore.

The thing that made my hlss music fuck up was the converting.

use theese options-
8-bit 8000Hz 1-Mono

HLSS sucks... use HLDJ

Sure its not the server which dosnt have the right settings? You can try as much you want to if these settings aint on..

sv_voicecodec voice_speex
sv_voicequality 5

tryed it on neondragon servers. but hm i will search for this hldj then <.<

Are you trying the HLSS on a "New game" or on a server?

Cause HLSS doesnt work when you use it in a "New Game" .

I had the "SHSHSHSHSH" static problem as well, but it goes away when you try it out on some servers

it was on a new game and on the neondragon server (sentry) the same. shrshr. but with the hldj its all good :>
