Re: Fraps Prob
I just recorded yesterday after i changed the place to put the fraps videos into my Extern HDD, and it made it drop to 5 fps... So you have to make fraps place it into the same harddisk as fraps is installed

Re: Fraps Prob
FRAPS always eats CPU, your computer simply can't handle it. You can try tuning down the recording quality and the fps should increase.

the number in the corner of your screen is your current fps, it is not related to any fraps recording tools, apart from maybe telling you how much FPS you have to spare, so if you can afford to record at high quality. I advice you to turn this off, as its just an annoying flickering number that is really not needed.
Generally, record at the fps you can miss with a max of 50 fps. Save about 45 fps for yourself
so if you have 90 fps, record at 45 fps, so that you have 90-45=45 fps left
(recording at 45 fps doesn't mean your fps drops by 45, but its just a guideline on how much you can handle without having too much of an impact on the actual game you are recording)
