Admin Chat Colours

Hi I think having colours for each authority of admin (that includes members) based on our current theme of colours is a brilliant idea!

for example...



We get many people on the servers confused of who are the people with admin powers so I suggest that we can use different colours to make us stand out from the crowd, this way people know who to contact if they need help. Each group should have their own colour to use in game which they must use at all times not changing it to another. So I'm a zombie member and would use blue font colour. if people ask if you're admin, i can say that yes i have some admin powers but im a member - nD admins are in green.

The only problem with this thing is that you cannot go unvercover and it's required many times in the CS1 :S

yeah good point, well definitly for zombie it would be fun and im sure all other servers but just not jailbreak then? unless all members are given the ability to choose whether the colour is on and then can turn it off to go incognito! at the moment the members don't have a lot of novelty features unlike admins with their drugs so the colour would be quite fun as for another point, i know i would enjoy it

I do not see the need for this..
Can't really be arsed being whined to even more 'OMG HE FREEKILLED ME WHY NOT SLAY?!?', already have plenty of that as it is.

Plus, adding even more plugins won't really work out well for the servers.

Wouldn't it ruin being undercover aswell?

Sounds like a fun plugin if you ask me. But then.. How're we going to undercover with it?

Just don't write anything? Use voicecomm and add some funny accent. Irish perhaps?

I think vips should have it

yes tiny dancer thank you! got us out of a tight situation lol anyway if we can turn on the colour or also off then incognito is easy, also having people whine at you is part of the job no? (apart from map change because thats against the rules and i don't think vips should have it xD they get mistaken for admin enough, at least with colours they are not as powerful looking and people would clearly be able to see that someone is just a vip and not a member by their colour. Another point is the vip have enough fun stuff whereas members have none so this would be something cool, i think if it could be turned on/off at our will, then people who don't want to use it can turn it off. and most people who do want it and switch it on to look cool while being easily noticed as a member

Admins: What's the access of the members?
So I can make it with that.

afaik, members only have access through the ndmenu plugin. so no special access flags or so.

Ye but, I need in the plugin, that it checks if ur a member..

Then its with SQL if they don't got access.

Then they need add the access

I made a version for neonDragon.
I edited a bit that color thing, & made it much easyer for players with menu.

I gonne make some tests,
Go to football,
& Maybe add Vault, for else u need set colorchat on every map change.

give all the damn members/ admins ! colors ^^

? The most people just don't go undercover.. just put white on? when you want to go undercover?

This will not work still seeing as we have enough bugs with servers as it is...

that guy made the plugin! (i'm supposed to believe) this idea is being put into action hopefully the server already uses a colour modification for the green on your powers etc, so this can be added on to the configurations something like that.

Dunno about the idea, but this thread is kinda oldish --> closed ^^
