Can someone tell me where you can find your demo, and how to upload it on youtube or something to post it on forums ?

The demo is saved in your cstrike folder (.../Steam/Steamapps/STEAMACC/Counter-Strike/cstrike/). The demo is called DEMONAME.dem
You can upload it whereever you want. There are many Filehoster. For example http://www.filefront.com/ or http://www.speedyshare.com/ or http://www.megaupload.com/
After uploading, they give you a link, where you can download the file.

Re: Making a demo in c-s: How does it work ?
I also have a question in line with this.
Everytime I want to take a screen shot, I press "print screen", but it makes a copy of my desktop/internet window (if open).
How do I make it take an in-game screenshot?

Another way you could do it is if you get a program like fraps, hypercam and record off your screen so its compatible with windows media player or you could upload it to youtube and post it on the forums

To quicksilver:
Marksel wrote:Agito wrote:Type this in your console or in your config.cfg located in your cstrike folder.
bind "F5" "snapshot"
Lateron, just press the f5 while playing the game and it will save a screenshot in your cstrike folder.
the snapshots will save under the name of the map, once u have these, you can upload them to www.imageshack.us
Upload the pictures one by one, do not upload them all at once or it will be harder to link them later on.
once you have uploaded it (click browse -> go to the picture you want to upload -> Upload), you will get 2 boxes you can copy, copy the Link to Direct Image (or something alike), and paste it into your post, bracketed by.
- Code:
[img][/img]
For example:
- Code:
[img]http://img75.imageshack.us/img75/572/gaz1.png[/img]
this will show up as
(i usually use paint to cut out the important parts of the screenshot, to reduce the size of the picture for faster uploading aswell as a better overall overview of your report)
An extra tip:
bind a key to status aswell, close to your snapshot button, this way if you press both you are sure to have all the proof you need, both his steamID and a screenshot of what he is doing. (for example, my snapshot is binded to K and my status is binded to L)

Re: Making a demo in c-s: How does it work ?
Many thanks for the info Mark! I'll try it out later this afternoon when I get home.
I have a photobucket account + photoshop (and I now how to use both), so the posting/editing won't be a problem at all.

remember that you need to have a photobucket account to open photobucket pictures, meaning you can't encase the pics you upload to photobucked with [img][/img], so I would suggest using imageshack.us or something alike.

Hmm.. I've never had the problem with other forums (including this one actually). I'll give it a try and if no-one can see them, I will switch.
