Strange bugs or something?

Sometimes if I start my computer and c-s 1.6 and I'm going in a server and than my name is: unnamed and all my settings are gone, so I need to default everytime but my settings are different then the default settings so how could I stop this bug because it takes some time to reset the stuff.. Or sometimes I'm going in a map and my settings are gone too...

Does someone knows how to help me?

Yeah this happens to me also i just put them back to normal but when it happens to me it delets all my favourite servers so i waste about 10 mins getting them back but this only happens to me about once a month

Exactly the same but i waste 10 mins over getting the settings back to my settings(i dont use default settings) And my servers are also gone...

you should write ur own config and save it. if it happens again, just reload it. and if the servers are deleted, hm. save all IPs in a table or so.

Locate your userconfig.cfg and config.cfg files in cstrike folder and mark read-only on both files. That should prevent different servers from changing those files. For example if you get infected with the roze stuff, just restart cs and roze binds are gone. If you want to change those files just unmark read-only, do the changes and mark read-only again.

I got no idea how to fix the disappearance of favorite servers though.
