Ventrilo Server!

Hey guys, I spoke with neonDragon and he said they had a ventrilo server for a while but closed it however he said he would reconsider if they going to have one on the future.

So post in this thread if you agree that you want a public nD ventrilo server! so they get a lill bit of motivation =)





- It can have some private rooms with passwords (e.x nD members/clan people?)
and ofcourse public rooms for all different servers..





I think it's a great idea, so you can hook up with some mates there and play however I suggest it should be some rules such as,

* no ghosting (telling where people are when ur dead to a friend)
* no insults, racism.
* dont scream ;p

All I can think of right now post your ideas! and hopefully it will be a vent server in the future :p

I think this is a bit useless personally, you don't need ventrilo for anything ingame, when there's an ingame chat aswell as ingame voice chat.. you are allowed to talk as much as you want in every server apart from jail.

ventrilo is a voice chat program, similar to TeamSpeak.

thing with vent server is that they are REALLY expensive, a 25 player vent for a year is around 100$, might aswell get more cs servers running for that money.

Its not only for ingame, you can talk with each other and getting to know people on another level than just writing on ingame + only ct's can talk ingame, at ventrilo Terrorist get more options thinkin that their friend next to him will help him kill the CT infront, better teamwork!


Perhaps the nD team wanna talk about stuffs and projects and I think its quite easier than writing on msn etc..



edit: Its not cheap, but its neccesary for sure! and another server running means more lagg (thats why they shuted down a server)

if they hire a ventrilo server they wont be hosting it so no laggs and admins will have fully command over it =)

by getting another server i meant a whole new hub, so we can run 4 servers per hub and we can add 3 more servers and at thesame time reduce the lag on our current.

Dont think it would be useful.

Its and nice idea, but i dont think its the time to spend money on a server? while there is no Deathrun, and stilll lagg (lill bit ) things like that

Yep i still lag 2. Problably it will be solved soon.

Good Idea, It gives terrorist a better team work..

i think they have already team talk for that..and for any riots they already spamming riot at 3:00 riot at 3:00 stuff liek that :/

Yes but when the time actully hits 3:00 its always like 5? who try to do something and rest just camp/go to the cage as always

Skip. we spend alot of money on the servers.. and extra cost wouldnt be better .

You could get ppl to host em for free
or get a sponsor.

Beside that i know it costs some but its worthed every penny
its verry verry usefull.

If a post is obviously denied or useless and you bump it to a high lvl like:
Welcome threads
Unban threads
Ban threads
Declined idea's threads

Then its a retarded action.

When u dig up a topic that hasnt been denied/approved and you want to show other people the topic again then you can bump it.
Otherwise u would just make a new topic, And tell me what is worse? Making a new topic or bumping a old topic with the same subject

Super idea but worst thing The costs.... we are running on vip already.. With we i mean (nD) but its better 4 like jailbreak ct can talk but terror cant and now terror can talk tho even when im perm banned from jailbreak but its just

and its ofc no option to get as ct in another name in the T ventrilo chat to hear what that say ofc..

In my eyes getting our own vent server is an invitation to a big load of extra work and trouble.
We will need to sort out the moderation, because:
-there will be spammers
-there will be people talking when CT is talking so you cannot hear the commands (on CS1)
-there will be a lot of harassing
-rules will need to be made about multilanguage/english only on which channels etc.

Also, the simple costs are pretty high already.
