first of all I dont know why you removed the knife plugin but I guess you had your reasons.

now, I can recommend you this: a kind-of knife mod which turns the usually knife into a knuckle duster, but thats not evrything, the effect is...well you have to witness it yourself to understand it. also has kinda funny sounds taken from old shaolin/karate movies. download here:

As for new maps, I don't really know any (unless you give me a list of every single map you can nominate right now)... But maybe the problem isn't in the maps that aren't played, but the maps that are? Maybe you should try to remove some of the maps that suck, like that piece of crap which in common tongue is called tv-tower, but in my vocabulary is known as "hell!"

Somehow these maps get a lot of votes because people probably think: "Yeh, television is the frickin' shit y'all, lets vote for that one!" and when they realize just how bad the map sucks, they just drop the game to find another server...

if possible, check the server logs and try to find which maps people enjoy playing, and which maps make people disconnect.

Note: tv-tower is just an example, there are quite a few totally unbalanced maps that just ain't fun to play...

About new maps.

1. Could you try out this one?
http://www.fpsbanana.com/maps/5847 (btw. all of you could also try to search for some maps here. There are quiet a lot ;D - btw,1. small maps usually suck cos of spawn killing and to much enemy contact (e.g. teleporter) and 2. they get boring quiet fast)
I tried it in singleplayer and well... its quiet big and looks also good for counter strike. But I dont know how the balancing is with 32 players but i think its worth a try.

And 2.
We would need the list of the current maps in the cycle. Otherwise its quiet difficult to search out all the bad maps that no one likes at all.
