Console issues. Empty Console issues.

Post by xelef Wed Aug 18, 2010 9:19 am

I have an issue, i used fraps to take a screenshot to a report, and my resolution is on 1920 x 1080 inside CS Also.
And the problem i have is that the Console is too small on screenshots.
Is there a way to increase size of text and console at the same time, cause i tried to increase console size but the text was still small.
Is there anyone out here who know how to increase size of text and console so that my screenshots is readable without zooming in or lowering resolution?

In advance thanks for responds.

Open your console, write snapshot and hit enter to take a screenie of whatever you want to (inside the console) or bind [key] snapshot in console and with that key you take screenshots in game.

you can make the console bigger by just grabbing it from a corner and drag it.

Your problem is not the screenshot program, the problem is the resize done when you upload it to the forums.
You take a full screen picture, and you post a 800px width picture(the forum uploading tool resizes your pictures to max 800px width, by shrinking it's size by default), which is effectively about half the size. This decreases the size of the console aswell.

To avoid this you can try cutting out the console only and then uploading it, you'll have a picture with a lower width than 800px and it will not be shrunk down, making it possible to read again.
Just cut down the console using paint or something and upload that and your problem is solved Smile

EDIT: Btw, if you only want the console to be in, and its on the left side of the screen, you could also just disable the resize when uploading, by clicking the bar behind 'Resize image' and selecting 'No'
