Insulting words in Dutch!

What the hell is so insulting with "cancer" HAHAHA ?
Same thing with Aids? Lol

I just feel it so stupid to say to a guy if u hate him, Cancer idiot!!

Anyone who can explain ?

Have any relatives who got cancer or AIDS? It doesn't even have to be relatives, it can be someone close to you like friends or even teachers.

Chances are, if you don't know any people who has experienced or even underwent such painful times you won't find it so offensive.

In Holland alot of the youth uses Cancer like its a normal verb..
Example:
Dude did you hear that new song?
Yeah man, its cancer epic!

Or

Watch were your walking Cancer Jew..

I really dont aprove these kind of sentences yet you hear them so many times every day there aint much to do about it.

Its defenitly not all holland. Rotterdam, Denhaag, and the city's around you here it all the time.

In amsterdam, utrecht, its already not that much anymore. In groningen where I live I dont hear it (maybe sometimes).

To be honest, I use it quite a few times when I'm hanging out whit friends. It's just been graved into my brains. It's not like I use it to insult people or something but rather stuff like Darkness mentioned : it was cancer awesome and that kinda stuff. I know it isn't nice to say but it's just graved into me.

True.. When im with friends who use it 24/7 i accidently pop it into a sentence myself also.

Ye, its very weird when you type it in english or when your saying it..

its because of the volume and power you can say it in dutch, the "k" sound makes it hard and thats why people like to use it because it sounds powerfull, cancer sounds alot less hard.

in better times the older or adult people would have hit this kids so hard that they would never ever use it again... good old times... they dont learn to behave anymore. i would prefer to allow it again to hit kids who uses bad language.. ^^
