I got really inspired by Majas awesome pictures from Gambia, so I thought I'd start a thread were we can all post pictures of places we have been to! (It doesn't have to be as exotic as my pictures, it could be your own back yard if you find that place to be beautiful )

That's all, I didn't travel much. I've been only in Croatia, Italy ( only shopping ), Austria ( Skiing ) and Slovenia It would be great if I could go to Gambia, screens are really great

Some photos of mine. I apologize in advance for the long post ^^

First up is Bonaire. I've lived there for about 4 years when I was young. Had the best time EVER and it still feels like I'm home every time I'm there. I'm still in the process of scanning the old photos, but here's a glimpse. Photos are sorted from oldest to newest (as you can also judge by the photo quality ):











So many great trips, so many great memories, but I'll leave it at this before my post gets too long.
Then we have Miami, Florida. Travelled all around Florida for 2 weeks when we were moving back to the Netherlands from Bonaire:



The last 2 years I've been to the USA for vacation. First there was Arizona (Phoenix and all the cities surrounding it):

We were driving North and suddenly we were in the snow! Wearing shorts and a T-shirt (30 degrees in Mesa, where we started), the snow was a nice surprise though:



Last year, I went to the world's biggest airshow in Oshkosh, Winconsin. You can only see a small part of the whole thing on the photo. Image thousands (!!) more planes to the left and upper part of the photo. Truly heaven for a guy like me haha. Nice detail: The plane we flew in when I took this photo is from 1929!



The photos below are from a vacation in Croatia. Pictured are the Plitvice lakes, with some of the nicest waters I've ever seen:

St. Maarten:



Saba. We climbed the highest mountain (Mount Scenery) and got a nice view :



And last, but definately not least, Merida (Venezuela). We spent a vacation there while we lived on Bonaire. Merida is located in/near the Andes and ofcourse we went into the mountains! Very, very cool.







So many great trips, so many great memories. I have much and much more, but I'll leave it at this for now before my post gets way too big.

I've been there twice but haven't exactly "backpacked". We travelled around with car staying in different motels, so it was more of cheap way of travelling around...

Paris, France in 2009 summer

I went to france like, 3 years ago. And im really intersted in wwII so this was pretty impressive for me, i've been to all the places in normandy where the invasion started. We were in a house between caen and st.lo if im not wrong. awesome! I dont like france that much. but that was just awesum!
